Meditations and Prayers Relating to the Law of God.

1 How blessed are those whose way is ^{▼▼ Lit complete; or having integrity

Who ^cwalk in the law of the Lord.
2 How blessed are those who ^dobserve His testimonies,
Who ^eseek Him ^fwith all their heart.
3 They also ^gdo no unrighteousness;
They walk in His ways.
4 You have ^{▼▼ Lit commanded
,} ⁱordained Your precepts,
^{▼▼ Lit To keep}That we should keep them diligently.
5 Oh that my ^kways may be established
To ^lkeep Your statutes!
6 Then I ^mshall not be ashamed
When I look ^{▼▼ Lit to}upon all Your commandments.
7 I shall ^ogive thanks to You with uprightness of heart,
When I learn Your righteous judgments.
8 I shall keep Your statutes;
Do not ^pforsake me utterly!

9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By ^qkeeping it according to Your word.
10 With ^rall my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me ^swander from Your commandments.
11 Your word I have ^ttreasured in my heart,
That I may not sin against You.
12 Blessed are You, O Lord;
^uTeach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have ^vtold of
All the ^wordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have ^xrejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,

15 I will ^zmeditate on Your precepts

17 ^afDeal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold
Wonderful things from Your law.

Do not hide Your commandments from me.

After Your ordinances at all times.
21 You ^ajrebuke the arrogant, ^{▼▼ Or Cursed are those who wander...}the ^alcursed,
Who ^amwander from Your commandments.
22 ^anTake away reproach and contempt from me,
For I ^aoobserve Your testimonies.
23 Even though ^apprinces sit and talk against me,
Your servant ^aqmeditates on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies also are my ^ardelight;

25 My ^atsoul cleaves to the dust;
^auRevive me ^avaccording to Your word.
26 I have told of my ways, and You have answered me;
^awTeach me Your statutes.
27 Make me understand the way of Your precepts,
So I will ^axmeditate on Your wonders.
28 My ^aysoul ^{▼▼ Lit drops}weeps because of grief;
^baStrengthen me according to Your word.
29 Remove the false way from me,
And graciously grant me Your law.
30 I have chosen the faithful way;

31 I ^bccling to Your testimonies;
O Lord, do not put me to shame!
32 I shall run the way of Your commandments,
For You will ^bdenlarge my heart.

33 ^beTeach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes,
And I shall observe it to the end.
34 ^bfGive me understanding, that I may ^bgobserve Your law
And keep it ^bhwith all my heart.
35 Make me walk in the ^bipath of Your commandments,
For I ^bjdelight in it.
36 ^bkIncline my heart to Your testimonies
And not to ^bl dishonest gain.
37 Turn away my ^bmeyes from looking at vanity,
And ^bnrevive me in Your ways.
38 ^boEstablish Your ^{▼▼ Or promise}word to Your servant,
^{▼▼ Lit Which is for the fear of You}As that which produces reverence for You.
39 ^brTurn away my reproach which I dread,
For Your ordinances are good.
40 Behold, I ^bslong for Your precepts;
Revive me through Your righteousness.

41 May Your ^btlovingkindnesses also come to me, O Lord,
Your salvation ^buaccording to Your ^{▼▼ Or promise}word;
42 So I will have an ^bwanswer for him who ^bxreproaches me,
For I trust in Your word.
43 And do not take the word of truth utterly out of my mouth,
For I ^{▼▼ Or hope in
,} ^bzwait for Your ordinances.
44 So I will ^cakeep Your law continually,
Forever and ever.
45 And I will ^cbwalk ^{▼▼ Lit in a wide place}at liberty,
For I ^cdseek Your precepts.
46 I will also speak of Your testimonies ^cebefore kings
And shall not be ashamed.
47 I shall ^{▼▼ Lit delight myself
,} ^cgdelight in Your commandments,
Which I ^chlove.
48 And I shall lift up my hands to Your commandments,
Which I ^cilove;
And I will ^cjmeditate on Your statutes.

Zayin.

49 Remember the word to Your servant,
^{▼▼ Lit On}In which You have made me hope.
50 This is my ^clcomfort in my affliction,
That Your word has ^{▼▼ Or preserved me alive}revived me.
51 The arrogant ^cnutterly deride me,
Yet I do not ^coturn aside from Your law.
52 I have ^cpremembered Your ordinances from ^{▼▼ Or everlasting}of old, O Lord,
And comfort myself.
53 Burning ^crindignation has seized me because of the wicked,
Who ^csforsake Your law.
54 Your statutes are my songs
In the house of my ^ctpilgrimage.
55 O Lord, I ^curemember Your name ^cvin the night,
And keep Your law.
56 This has become mine,

Heth.

57 The Lord is my ^cyportion;
I have ^{▼▼ Lit said that I would keep}promised to ^dakeep Your words.
58 I ^dbsought Your favor ^dcwith all my heart;
^ddBe gracious to me ^deaccording to Your ^{▼▼ Or promise}word.
59 I ^dgconsidered my ways
And turned my feet to Your testimonies.
60 I hastened and did not delay
To keep Your commandments.
61 The ^dhcords of the wicked have encircled me,
But I have ^dinot forgotten Your law.
62 At ^djmidnight I shall rise to give thanks to You
Because of Your ^dkrighteous ordinances.
63 I am a ^dlcompanion of all those who ^{▼▼ Or revere}fear You,
And of those who keep Your precepts.
64 ^dnThe earth is full of Your lovingkindness, O Lord;
^doTeach me Your statutes.

65 You have dealt well with Your servant,
O Lord, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good ^{▼▼ Or judgment
,} ^dqdiscernment and knowledge,
For I believe in Your commandments.
67 ^drBefore I was afflicted I went astray,
But now I keep Your word.
68 You are ^dsgood and ^dtdo good;
^duTeach me Your statutes.
69 The arrogant ^{▼▼ Lit besmear me with lies}have ^dwforged a lie against me;
With all my heart I will ^dxobserve Your precepts.

That I may learn Your statutes.

Than thousands of gold and silver pieces.

Even those who know Your testimonies.

81 My ^exsoul languishes for Your salvation;

^{▼▼ Lit Saying}While I say, “When will You comfort me?”
83 Though I have ^fdbecome like a wineskin in the smoke,
I do ^fenot forget Your statutes.
84 How many are the ^ffdays of Your servant?
When will You ^fgexecute judgment on those who persecute me?
85 The arrogant have ^fhdug pits for me,
Men who are not ^{▼▼ Lit according to Your law}in accord with Your law.
86 All Your commandments are ^fjfaithful;
They have ^fkpersecuted me with a lie; ^flhelp me!
87 They almost destroyed me ^{▼▼ Lit in the earth}on earth,
But as for me, I ^fndid not forsake Your precepts.
88 Revive me according to Your lovingkindness,
So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth.

89 ^foForever, O Lord,
Your word ^{▼▼ Lit stands firm}is settled in heaven.
90 Your ^fqfaithfulness continues ^{▼▼ Lit to}throughout all generations;
You ^fsestablished the earth, and it ^ftstands.

92 If Your law had not been my ^fwdelight,
Then I would have perished ^fxin my affliction.

95 The wicked ^gdwait for me to destroy me;
I shall diligently consider Your testimonies.

Your commandment is exceedingly broad.

97 O how I ^gflove Your law!
It is my ^ggmeditation all the day.
98 Your ^ghcommandments make me wiser than my enemies,

99 I have more insight than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my ^gjmeditation.
100 I understand ^gkmore than the aged,
Because I have ^globserved Your precepts.
101 I have ^gmrestrained my feet from every evil way,
That I may keep Your word.
102 I have not ^gnturned aside from Your ordinances,
For You Yourself have taught me.

Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 From Your precepts I ^grget understanding;
Therefore I ^gshate every false way.

105 Your word is a ^gtlamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
106 I have ^gusworn and I will confirm it,
That I will keep Your righteous ordinances.
107 I am exceedingly ^gvafflicted;

108 O accept the ^gyfreewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord,
And ^gzteach me Your ordinances.

Yet I do not ^hdforget Your law.
110 The wicked have ^helaid a snare for me,

121 I have ^ihdone justice and righteousness;
Do not leave me to my oppressors.
122 Be ⁱⁱsurety for Your servant for good;
Do not let the arrogant ^ijoppress me.
123 My ^ikeyes fail with longing for Your salvation
And for Your righteous ^{▼▼ Or promise}word.
124 Deal with Your servant ^imaccording to Your lovingkindness
And ⁱⁿteach me Your statutes.

That I may know Your testimonies.

For they have broken Your law.

Above gold, yes, above fine gold.

129 Your testimonies are ^iuwonderful;
